Modular Partitions Gdańsk: Separating an Office from Cold and Noise in a Warehouse Hall

Gdańsk

City

TL;DR (Key takeaways):
Goal: Carve out an office and dispatch zone on a noisy hall near Gdańsk.
System: The "armoured" System 32, 182 cm high (solid board + plexiglass from 117 cm).
Problems solved: Machine noise, draughts from the warehouse gate, no way to air-condition the workstations.
Installation: A stable structure fixed to the floor with anchors, ready for future rearrangement.

Challenge: An office on the front line with an open gate

Working in the shipping-preparation zone of a hall near Gdańsk can be extreme in winter. Our client faced three problems: the nuisance of machine noise, icy gusts of air every time the warehouse gate was opened, and no way to cool the workstations effectively in summer. On windy days an open gate meant documents blown off the desks. A traditional drywall build was out of the question – the system had to be put up in a flash and be movable once the company started to grow.

Solution: System 32 – a solid barrier that "holds" the climate

We opted for System 32, which, thanks to its square profile and rigidity, is ideal for industrial conditions.

  1. Thermal and acoustic insulation: The 182 cm high partitions created a physical barrier that cut the office zone off from draughts. This made it possible to create a closed air circulation, so it is warm inside in winter, and in summer the air conditioning can finally be switched on.
  2. Privacy without cutting off from the team: The lower part of the partitions (up to 117 cm) is a solid furniture board that provides visual isolation and protects against noise. Above that we used transparent plexiglass, so the supervisory staff can see what is happening on the hall and daylight gets inside.
  3. "Rigid" stability: Because of the forklift traffic and the dynamic work on the hall, the system was placed on feet and additionally fixed to the floor with anchors. This ensures maximum structural safety while retaining full mobility in the future.

How to separate an office on a hall without building walls?

Do System 32 partitions protect against draughts?

Yes. Thanks to their 182 cm height and the solid fillings in the lower part, the system works like a protective screen. It effectively blocks gusts of cold air from the warehouse gates, which dramatically improves the employees' thermal comfort.

Does installation require stopping work on the hall?

Absolutely not. Installation is done "dry", without dust or welding. We put up the entire office and dispatch zone in Gdańsk in just a few hours, without interrupting the client's logistics processes.

What if I have to expand the dispatch zone in a year?

System 32 is fully reconfigurable. Despite being anchored to the floor, the partitions can be dismantled at any time, moved elsewhere or expanded with new modules without buying the whole system again.

Final result

In place of a noisy, freezing space, a professional command centre was created. Lower noise (a reduction of about 11–15 dB) supports concentration, and a stable temperature lets the team focus on work rather than fighting the weather. The client gained a system that "grows" together with their business.
