Challenge: A separate zone on a production hall in Wrocław
The key problem was the nuisance of machine noise and the need to limit unauthorised access to company documents. Because of the dynamic nature of the work, the client ruled out traditional construction methods (bricklaying, drywall), which generate dust and require downtime. The priorities were the project timeline and creating a comfortable workstation for 2 people without cutting them off from the hall.
Solution: System 32 modular partitions — a solid structure
We used solid System 32 modular partitions, which are an ideal alternative to heavy glass or masonry structures.
- Furniture-board panels: Used in the lower part and on the side walls to provide visual isolation and reduce the nuisance of machine noise.
- Transparent plexiglass: Mounted at the front of the enclosure from a height of 85 cm. This gives employees full control over the hall while avoiding the effect of a closed, dark box.
- Free-standing structure: Part of the partitions are free-standing modules set on special stiffening feet. The system requires no anchoring to the floor, walls or ceiling.
- Full IT integration: In the partitions we made factory openings for routing the workstation cabling, eliminating clutter under the desks.
How to quieten a production hall without limiting light?
Do furniture-board partitions completely block machine sound?
No, and it is worth remembering this. Furniture-board panels serve to reduce the noise nuisance — they cut off the direct sound wave, which significantly improves conversation comfort and concentration, but they do not create a complete, hermetic sound barrier. For soundproofing we use upholstered partitions with an additional layer of acoustic foam.
How quickly can the layout of such modular partitions be changed?
System 32 is fully reconfigurable. Installation is done "dry", which allowed us to put up the structure in Wrocław in just a few hours. In the future the client can freely move the modules or add more — just as they already did a month after the first project.
Result
In just a few hours we created a professional space that significantly improved the ergonomics of the supervisory team's work. Lower noise supports concentration, which translated directly into the team's efficiency. The client appreciated the mobility of the solution — the ability to move the partitions to another part of the hall without additional construction costs meant that as early as the following month they ordered an expansion of the system with an extra workstation for 3 people.
